The Forest Park Bruins had an impressive two days at the Prince William County Invitational, taking home the the team title by over 87.5 points and sending seven wrestlers to individual finals. The Bruins (245.5 points) got individual victories from 112-pounder Issac Riddle, 130-pounder Josh Kingett and 152-pounder Patrick Budd. The Bruins’ Jacob Kingett (119), William Lloyd (125), Tony Bango (135) and Cameron Boyd (145) also made it to the final match.
“It was tough competition. We just have some good athletes,” said Forest Park head coach Seth Cameron. “Putting seven in the finals — those placement points help a lot. It’s the hard work of the team. It proves that the harder you work, the farther you get.”
The Northern Region’s Annandale finished in second place thanks to victories from 103-pounder Dane Harlowe, 215-pounder Victor Njomo and 285-pounder Shane Doty. Osbourn Park took home two first-place winners — 119-pounder Eric Dromazos, the outstanding wrestler award-winner, and 171-pounder Christian Portillo. Stonewall Jackson also had two winners — 140-pounder Luke Olsen and 160-pounder Rodin Ndandula.
