Forest Park 16, Loudoun Valley 0
Forest Park shuts down the Vikings, 16-0, to open up the season. The Bruins took advantage of three interceptions by their defensive backfield and three field goals by kicker Patrick Nuckols to jump out on the Vikings. Playing in a steady downpour throughout the night, mother nature kicked it up a notch in the fourth quarter – stymieing any comeback chances for Valley.

Woodbridge 13, Highland Springs 0
The Vikings get two more scores from De’Antwan “Rocket” Williams — bringing his season total to six, beating their highly-rated opponent from the Henrico County. Woodbridge now moves to 2-0 on the season.

C.D. Hylton 21, Stonewall Jackson 6
Playing without Tennessee-bound running back Damien Thigpen, who missed tonight’s game with an ankle injury that has shelved him for most of the preseason. Hylton running back Bill Nyantakyi scored twice for the Bulldogs.

Mountain View 34, Freedom-Woodbridge 6
Trailing 21-6 at halftime, the Eagles were unable to mount a comeback against Mountain View. Quarterback Keith Johnson connected with Tre Brinson for the Eagles only score.

Osbourn Park 26, Colonial Forge 7
Sophomore transfer Dominique Terrell was electric in his debut for the Yellow Jackets, scoring twice and helping Osbourn Park take down Colonial Forge for an opening-night victory.

North Stafford 16, Gar-Field 12
Gar-Field leads 7-0 early, but can’t pull out a victory in their home-opener. The Indians fall to 1-1 on the season. Running back Bryce Miller topped 100 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown for the Indians.

Thursday Night’s Games:

Brooke Point 24, Osbourn 7
Timmy Keith hauls in a 80-yard touchdown pass from Jerrell McFadden but the Eagles can’t stop Brooke Point’s rushing attack and fall to 0-1 on the season.

Potomac 14, Stafford 7
The Panthers’ rushing attack carried Potomac to their first victory of the season. Bouncing back after a devastating loss to Battlefied, Potomac rushed for over 200 yards on the ground, with quarterback DeAirius Thomas connection with Anthony Edwards for the Panthers’ first score and sealing their victory with a rushing touchdown.
